About Chinese Corner
Chinese Corner aims to provide an excellent Chinese Language tutoring service for the Foreign Community in ChengDu. We emphaisize student centred learning, adapting our programmes to individual learning styles. We concentrate on preparing our foreign students for life in China, beginning with an emphaisis on spoken Chinese. We also help our students develop their reading and writing skills to the level appropriate for them. The students achieve success because our teachers provide a learning environment that is supportive and tailored to meet individual needs. Lessons have a range of interesting activities, and teachers and students together set realistic and achievable goals.
Our teachers are all well trained and qualified. They are all university graduates, a number have masters degrees. At Chinese Corner we also provide them with an extensive training programme to further develop their teaching skills. The owner, Wu Laoshi (Jack) has lived in Chengdu for more than 10 years and is an experienced University teacher of Chinese.
Our basic programme is CME ‘Chinese Made Easier’, an excellent Chinese language learning course which is very practical, it clearly explains grammar, and introduces reading and writing at a mangeable rate.
We also give tutoring in other curricula e.g. Hanyu Jiaocheng, the New Practical Chinese Reader and Fa Zhan Hanyu. We will customize the course to suit your needs. Our tutoring is one on one or in small groups.
